Hearts Galore Doll Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

Free Hearts Galore Scarf #crochet pattern for #AmericanGirl Dolls. Would be great for #ValentinesDay

Valentines Day will soon be here!  Get your dolls all dressed for the occasion with this Hearts Galore Doll Scarf Free Crochet Pattern.

Yesterday I shared with you a simple Valentines Day Doll Headband Earwarmer Crochet Pattern.  You may have seen a cute heart scarf in the pictures on that post.  So today I want to share that pattern with you.

Remember the little heart embellishment on the headband earwarmer?  Well you are going to be making a lot of those and then sewing them together to make your scarf.

Materials needed to make this Hearts Galore Doll Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

  • Size F Crochet Hook – I like this crochet hook from Crochet Dude as it has a padded comfort grip.
  • Red Worsted Weight Yarn (or the color of your choice)
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

For each crocheted heart:

With red yarn, Ch 2.  (Work all stitches in 2nd ch from hook.)  Work 5 hdc, 4 dc, ch 1, sl st, ch 1, 4 dc, 4 hdc.  Join with sl st to first hdc of round and finish off, leaving a 6 inch tail to sew to the next heart.  Pull the center yarn tail tight to close up the hole in the center.  Weave in the ends, using your yarn needle.

Make 16 hearts and sew together on the sides to form your scarf.  I used about 6 stitches per side to ensure it would hold up to play.  Finish off by weaving in the last yarn tail on the back of your scarf.

My daughters loved dressing their AG dolls up when they were younger. I will have to whip 2 of these out for Valentine’s Day and surprise them (and bring back memories for all of us). Thanks for sharing at the This Is How We Roll Link Party on Organized 31.
